Poland’s relentless outfit ANTIGAMA has disclosed the full details on their pending full-length, “Meteor”, unquestionably one of the most anticipated grindcore albums of 2013.

ANTIGAMA’s sixth studio full-length since forming in 2000, “Meteor” is the revered act’s first proper album since 2009’s acclaimed “Warning”, and following two LPs with Relapse Records, will see the band returning to longtime allies Selfmadegod Records, their first LP for the label since 2005’s innovative “Zeroland”. The recently completed composition “Meteor” once again proves all over again why the band continually reaps such accolades with the media fans as both one of the most brutal bands of the genre as well as one of the most cutting-edge. With eleven new tracks of primal ANTIGAMA annihilation, “Meteor” reverts back to some of the bands more intimately brutal early material with thirty minutes of ultra-tight grindcore explosiveness, yet continues to carry the band’s detrimentally inventive edge, integrating brief progressive soundtrack ventures and more noise and programming elements. Recorded at Progresja Studio in Warsaw with producer Pawel “Janos” Grabowski (Masachist, Lost Soul) and mastered by Scott Hull (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer), the album also features a guest appearance by Michal Lapaj from world renowned Polish progressive rock band Riverside.

Today the full track listing and cover art for “Meteor”, designed by the ANTIGAMA vocalist Lukasz, have been released, as well as the album’s now official street date of May 28th.

Polish progressive grind act ANTIGAMA has just completed the construction of their anticipated sixth full-length album, Meteor. Consisting of eleven explosive new tracks, Meteor was recorded earlier this year at Progresja Studio in Warsaw with producer Pawel “Janos” Grabowski (Masachist, Lost Soul) and the final output mastered by Scott Hull at his Visceral Sound Studios (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer).
The album also features a guest appearance by Michal Lapaj from world renowned Polish progressive rock band Riverside.
ANTIGAMA’s head technician Sebastian Rokicki comments on what to expect from Meteor: “This was very hard and challenging recording session but I am sure the result will surprise many of our fans. Meteor is solid piece of intense brutal music not for weak at heart. This is no doubt the fastest and most experimental Antigama’s album.”
Meteor will see release in May or June via Selfmadegod Records, the assassins also responsible for the band’s recently-released Stop The Chaos EP in addition to a plethora of other ANTIGAMA releases, including their seminal Discomfort and Zeroland albums. An official studio report, album art, and most importantly, new music from Meteor will be available shortly.

Brutal Death Metal Rules !!!

The German Death Metal Band Jack Slater release their 4th album “Extinction Aftermath” on 02/26/2010 via “unundeux”, the label is owned by German Grindlegends “Japanische Kampfhörspiele”. Distribution will be taken care of by “Cargo Records”, renowned for their excellent work throughout the years.
Jack Slater celebrate 2010 their 15th year of existence. They transformed over the time of one demo, one MCD, four studioalbums and hundreds of gigs to a grown up band, who managed to develop their own unique style of intelligent, technical death metal. Paired with the characteristic German lyrics, Jack Slater manage to impress with great musicality, creativity and interesting songstructures to stand above the simple “faster, harder, louder” mentality of a lot of bands today.

The new album “Extinction Aftermath” was recorded in June 2009 in the well-known Hertz Studio (Bialystok, Poland) by the brothers Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawski, who earned an excellent reputation in the extreme metal scene with their work for bands like Vader, Behemoth or Decapitated.

Jack Slater show themselves off so fresh and vital like never before on their 4th studioalbum. Carried by the excellent sound, the ten songs unfold their whole potential and drag the listener into the various facets of the music, sometimes fast and brutal, sometimes slow and grim, sometimes just loud and filled with anger. “Extinction Aftermath” is a diverse album and every track enhances different aspects of Jack Slaters musical universe, but as a whole the songs form a strong and intense unit of finest death metal, a great display of musical power.

Jack Slater demonstrated over the years at hundreds of clubgigs, many festival appearances and last but not least on the two successful Fleischmarsch tours with Japanische Kampfhörspiele and Excrementory Grindfuckers, that they rightfully belong among the best german live bands. With “Extinction Aftermath” the band managed to capture that energy onto tape perfectly and can now release it in form of their 4th album for the world to listen.

Let the extinction begin!
